To our wonderful family of plunger pushing pulmonary plumbers,

A fabulous toolkit user pointed out an incorrectly labeled axis on the work of breathing graph in the following section:

Respiratory physiology -> ventilation and work of breathing -> Please draw the work of breathing graph and explain it.

The x-axis displayed numbers in kPa but was labeled as cmH2O

It should say -5 and -10, not -0.5 and -1.5.

We have corrected it thusly:

Please be reassured that this will almost certainly not have cost you a single mark in the exam, because if you're drawing this graph in a viva or OSCE then they're looking for your explanation as to why it is this shape, and not focusing on the specific units in the slightest.

Furthermore the units will vary from person to person, experimenter to experimenter, and day to day, so one could argue there isn't a 'right' number to put on the graph at all.

What now!?

If you're using the webpage version then fear not - it has already been updated and you don't need to do anything.

If you've duplicated your own copy into your Notion workspace, then please feel free to copy the hi-res image below as you see fit.
